Race Start

Within the event village you will see the directional signage guiding to the start line.  Each start area will be marked out to help prepare you all into your start formations with help from the marshals. When arriving please familiarise yourself with the  start area.

Please listen closely to MC and marshal instructions on the day as we will be lining runners up in pace order based on expected finish times.

Each wave will be called to the starting pen where our marshals will guide you into a start formation with 2 runners,  2m apart, being started every few seconds.

Toilets

For this event we will use portaloos. Lining up for these toilets will be socially distanced. If you live locally we recommend using toilets at home.

Hygiene Stations

There will be multiple hygiene stations around the event village and start/finish area for all participants to use throughout the event. These will have hand sanitiser, wipes, spray, tissue and bins for the disposal of any tissue or litter.

During the race

We will have marshals all around the course as well as yellow signs for mile markers and red signs for KMs.

The entire course is inside Sutton Park on the roads/paths not on grass. View the course map HERE.

Half Marathon – 4 laps (with an out and back at the start)
10k – 2 laps
5k – 1 lap

If you need to overtake on the course please be sure to take a wide berth around the runner in front.

Spitting and nasal clearance during the race is NOT permitted.

Spectators

Please be aware that due to social distancing and restrictions enforced upon us we ask that you do not bring any spectators with you to the event.

Refreshments

Please bring your own water to the event to avoid congestion on the course, there will be a limited amount of water at the water station. We recommend staying hydrated in the lead up to the event.

Baggage

Please limit the number of belongings you bring to the event and if possible leave anything in a car.  This is in order to reduce contact between runners and staff. There will be an informal self-service bag drop area within the event village for runners who need it.

After the race

Do NOT stop within the finish area. Please continue through the finish until you pass the medals and are in an open space.

There will be sealed ACTIPH water bottles at the finish for each runner to collect along with your medal, Kind Snack bar and Love Corn which will be laid out on tables for you to help yourself.

We ask that once you have collected your medal and water to leave the event as soon as possible to avoid groups congregating within the event village.

Travel

If using public transport, it’s a short walk to the main entrance at Town Gate from either the bus station in central Sutton Coldfield or the Sutton Coldfield rail station. Sutton Coldfield is less than half a mile away from the event village.
There are several entrances to the park. Car parks are marked on the Sutton Park HERE. There is very limited parking available on site so we recommend car pooling and taking public transport. There are plenty of car parks within a 15 minute walk of the event village, as on site parking is extremely limited, we recommend planning your journey in advance.
